On March 21, Shark Robotics was alongside the Italian authorities and rescue teams for the inauguration of the Xtreme Tunnel Rescue Kit in Naples.
A kit designed to improve tunnel safety and optimize road and rail emergency response. And at the heart of this innovation? Colossus, our intervention robot, which provides support to rescue teams.
“The Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the head of the fire department, Attilio Vis, took part in the inauguration ceremony, organized by RED in collaboration with Tangenziale di Napoli, Autostrade per l’Italia, the Regional Directorate of the VVF Campania and the VVF Command of Naples. The Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, the Head of the Fire Department Attilio Visconti, the Head of the National Fire Department Eros Mannino and the Regional Director of Campania Emanuele Franculli all took part. Civil and military authorities were also present, as well as the General Manager of Tangenziale di Napoli, Luigi Massa. The delivery of the Xtreme tunnel rescue kit to Tangenziale di Napoli and its presentation to the Naples fire brigade command underline the importance of equipping operational teams with high-tech, cutting-edge tools capable of guaranteeing rapid and effective interventions in complex emergency situations. Thanks to the collaboration with Tangenziale di Napoli, Autostrade per l’Italia and the institutions concerned, this project marks a turning point in the management of road emergencies, confirming the central role of technological innovation for the safety of operators and users.”
